Very Light Peels
20 percent and 30 percent Glycolic Peels & 85 percent Lactic Acid Peel
When using a very light peel, you can expect little to no actual peeling. Oftentimes, this type of peel is applied for only a minute or two and then immediately neutralized. This causes the peel to reveal brighter skin and aid in collagen production, but will not result in any major improvements, even over time. We recommend our very light peels for curious customers who have never tried a peel, those looking to improve dull or oily skin and anyone needing a touch-up from a deeper peel.
Light Peels
40 and 50 percent Glycolic Peels, 15 percent TCA Peel & 30 and 40 percent Alpha Beta Peels
Many of our light peels can be applied either for short or for longer periods of time. Peels you apply for only a short amount of time are also known as "flash peels" or "lunchtime peels". After their application, the peel is neutralized within one or two minutes, resulting in a brighter complexion, increased collagen production and light to moderate peeling.
When a light peel is applied for longer, the results become more apparent. Light peels are a great introduction to our medium-level peels and treat a variety of skin problems.
Medium Peels
Jessner's Peel, 20 and 25 percent TCA Peels & 50 percent Alpha Beta Peel
Medium peels are recommended for advanced users only. These peels are safe to use on most skin types, however, the Jessner’s peel has the best track record with darker complexions.
As with any of our peels, we recommend patch testing, no matter your skin type or color.
Medium-level peels result in the most noticeable changes, and are capable of stripping years off your skin with only a few treatments. After a medium peel, it will take you one to two weeks to complete the healing process and you'll peel and crust heavily.
Your new skin is waiting, but it'll require additional protection. No matter which peel you choose, apply sunscreen, wear protective headwear and carry an umbrella not just in the days following your treatment, but also in the months thereafter. By properly protecting yourself every day, you'll ensure your new skin stays safe from the harmful UV rays responsible for premature aging, hyperpigmentation and uneven tone.
Acne
Although commonly associated with the teen years, acne can occur at any time in a person’s life. Acne results from clogged pores that allow bacteria to thrive.
30 & 40 Percent Alpha Beta Peels
The 30 percent peel is a great place to start if you suffer from acne but have no experience peeling. These peels utilizes salicylic acid (a beta acid), which is the same ingredient you'll find in many OTC acne products, but at a much higher concentration.
The alpha component of this peel is glycolic acid, which effectively dissolves the glue that holds dead skin cells together. When combined, these two acids create a powerful acne treatment because they work on top as well as underneath the skin.
You'll notice little to no actual peeling at the 30 percent concentration and mild peeling at 40 percent level. These peels can be repeated every three weeks and require 8-10 peels for optimal results.
Suitable for all skin types and both beginning and experienced peelers.
50 Percent Alpha Beta Peel
This peel combats acne in the same way as its lower concentration counterparts, but should only be used by experienced peelers. With this peel, you'll find noticeable improvements for a variety of skin conditions, including acne, after just a few peels.
The 50% percent alpha beta combo peel is the strongest of its variety. Expect moderate peeling.
Jessner's Peel
This peel offers a unique combination of ingredients, which make it ideal for acne reduction as well as a wide variety of other stubborn skin conditions. The Jessner's peel will dissolve dirt, exfoliate, reduce oil production, stimulate collagen and increase cell turnover.
This peel is not for beginners. It will result in moderate peeling and requires one to two weeks of recovery time. We recommend starting with the 30 percent combination peel for acne, if you are not familiar with the peeling process.
Blackheads
Blackheads are the result of clogged pores and oftentimes appear in conjunction with acne. This condition can become severe and result in large, noticeable dark-colored spots.
30 Percent Alpha Beta Combination Peel
The dissolving power of beta hydroxy acid has made this a common go-to acne treatment for decades. Our 30 percent combination peel combines alpha and beta hydroxy acids, for both an above- and under-the-surface treatment.
These peels result in little to no actual peeling and can be repeated every three weeks. After 8-10 weeks, you'll see the most optimal results.
20 & 30 Percent Glycolic Acid Peels
These “lunchtime” peels are both very light and recommended for beginners and first-time users. Glycolic acid contains the smallest of all acid particles, allowing it to penetrate skin deeply and easily to dissolve the glue that holds your dead skin cells together. However, because of its low concentration, the 20 percent formula will result in almost no actual peeling. At the 30 percent concentration, you may see some redness and a bit more peeling in the days following.
These peels are ideal for all skin types and can be used every three weeks. It will require 8-10 peels for you to start seeing optimal results.
40 Percent Alpha Beta Combination Peel
Just like its 30 percent cousin, this 40 percent combination peel utilizes the power of both alpha and beta hydroxy acid to exfoliate and dissolve. The difference in these peels will be in the results over time.
This peel can treat a variety of other conditions besides blackheads, and can be repeated at three-week intervals. The 40 percent combination peel will result in light peeling and is recommended for those who are already comfortable with our products.
50 Percent Alpha Beta Combination Peel
The 50 percent alpha beta combo peel is the strongest of its variety that we offer. It is considered a “medium” peel that will result in moderate crusting and one to two weeks of downtime. We don’t recommend this product for beginner users.
This combination peel can be applied every month, and best results are seen within 8-10 applications. These include improved skin texture, less oil, fewer pimples and blackheads, and reduced signs of sun damage.
Dull Skin
Dull skin is a common problem most of us face, and this condition can easily be remedied with even our lightest peels.
85 Percent Lactic Acid Peel
Our mildest peel, this is a great product for first-time users. Whether you're nervous about the pain, the results or any potential complications, this peel is a great way to get your feet wet. A "lunchtime peel", the 85 percent lactic acid formula stays on for only a minute before being neutralized, revealing smoother skin and stimulating the production of collagen. This peel can be reapplied every three weeks, and will require 8-10 applications before seeing optimal results.
20 Percent Glycolic Peel
Glycolic acid contains the smallest of all acid particles, allowing it to penetrate skin deeply and efficiently to dissolve the glue that holds dead skin cells together. The 20 percent glycolic peel is ideal for all skin types and is recommended for beginning or experienced peelers. Just like the lactic acid peel, this peel can be used every three weeks and will require 8-10 peels for you see optimal results. Some peeling may occur within two days of using this product, but many of our customers find no peeling at all.
15 Percent TCA Peel
This peel will treat more than just dull skin, and is ideal for those looking for something a bit more effective than what our 20% glycolic peel can offer. This peel is still a great beginner's product, but we don't recommend you start here. The strength of this peel will result in mild to moderate peeling, giving you optimal results in just 6-8 peels. This peel can be repeated every month and is not recommended for darker skin tones.
Fine Lines
Fine lines are a natural result of aging, but you don’t have to live with them. Smooth out small surface wrinkles and reveal brighter skin with these products.
40 & 50 Percent Glycolic Peels
Both of these peels are considered "light" and offer a fantastic balance of little to no down time and great results. Because glycolic acid is the smallest of the fruit acid particles, it can penetrate skin deeply and effectively to unstick the glue that holds your dead skin cells together.
These peels can be applied either for short or slightly longer periods. When applied for a very short time only, these peels are considered a perfect "lunchtime" solution, meaning you can apply, neutralize and go about your day. Little to no peeling will occur, and the results are a brighter complexion, more even skin tone and fewer signs of aging.
These peels can be applied once monthly and will show best results after 8-10 applications.
TCA Peels
Our TCA peels will treat more than fine lines. If a smoother and brighter complexion is your only goal, we do not recommend a TCA peel to start. However, if you're an experienced peeler ready to take it up a notch, the 15 percent TCA peel is a great solution.
As with any of our peels, we do recommend a patch test before moving to a stronger product.
Our TCA peels range from 15 percent to 25 percent and offer stunning results including reduced signs of aging such as wrinkles, lines and dark spots, a brighter complexion and more even skin tone.
At 15 percent, our lowest TCA concentration is slightly stronger than the strongest glycolic peel that we offer. This formula is overall very friendly, and an excellent step up from one of our very mild peels. The 15 percent TCA peel can be applied once a month with optimal after 6-8 applications.
Our 20 and 25 percent TCA peels should only be applied by experienced users. These are the two strongest peels that we offer.
Oily Skin
Oily skin can result in irritated and clogged pores as well as infection from bacteria. To control oily skin and prevent the symptoms associated with it, we recommend one of the following peels.
40 Percent Alpha Beta Combination Peel
If you've never applied a peel before, we recommend easing into this product with something milder such as a glycolic peel or our 30 percent combination product.
The 40 percent combination peel combines alpha and beta hydroxy acids which exfoliate and dissolve. This peel will result in light peeling and is recommended for those who are already comfortable with our products.
15 Percent TCA Peel
This peel is slightly stronger than the strongest glycolic peel that we offer, and we therefore do not recommend that you start out with this product. However, this formula is overall very friendly, and an excellent step up from one of our very mild peels. This peel offers a variety of additional benefits alongside a reduction in oil, which include improved skin texture, more even tone and a reduction in pigment disturbances. The collagen-stimulating properties of this peel will result in an overall smoother complexion over time.
The 15% TCA peel can be applied once a month. Optimal results are seen after 6-8 applications.
Jessner's Peel
The Jessner's peel contains salicylic acid, Resorcinol and lactic acid, which work together to dissolve dirt, reduce oil production, increase the cell turnover, stimulate collagen and exfoliate. This peel is safe for beginners who are already familiar with peeling, but isn't recommended for first time users.
While this peel works very well for oily skin, we recommend one of our lighter peels, such as a 30 percent or 40 percent alpha beta combination product, if oily skin is your only complaint.
A Jessner's peel will help you to address fine lines, signs of sun damage, uneven skin tone, age spots, shallow scarring, acne and more.
Although a patch test is always recommended, we find that this peel works very well with darker skin types.
Sun Damage, Uneven Pigment & Superficial Scarring
Sun damage occurs with regular exposure to UV rays. Although many of us take precautionary steps such as applying sunscreen, it's difficult to eliminate UV exposure completely. You are exposed to UV even in the winter, on cloudy days and inside your car. The most common signs of sun damage are wrinkles, dark spots and uneven skin tone.
Superficial scars are those caused by scrapes, scratches and sometimes acne. Superficial scars tend to fade overtime, but may not ever disappear entirely.
Alpha Beta Combination Peels
Our combination peels are an excellent solution for a wide variety of skin issues, including sun damage and fine scars. These peels utilize a combination of acids that act both on and below the surface of your skin to help increase cell turnover, reveal a brighter complexion and plump up skin.
For those who haven't used a peel previously, we recommend a 30 percent combination peel to start. Beginners who are already familiar with peeling may try our 40 percent formula. Both of these peels fall into the category of "light peels", and can be repeated every 3 weeks. Optimal results will appear within 8-10 peels.
The 50 percent combination peel is considered a "medium" peel and is recommended for advanced users who are comfortable with peeling only. This peel results in moderate flaking and crusting, and is our strongest combination peel available.
15 Percent TCA Peel
This peel offers slightly more than our glycolic peels, and is an excellent step up for those who are already experienced with peeling. This peel is a great beginner's product, but we don't recommend you start here. The strength of this peel will result in mild to moderate peeling, and is not recommended for darker skin tones.
Optimal results will appear in just 6-8 peels. This peel can be repeated every month.
20 Percent TCA Peel
This peel is one of the strongest we offer. It is not recommended for beginners or those with darker skin pigment. This peel is considered a "medium" peel and will result in crusting and peeling for up to two weeks after application.
TCA peels are most commonly used in professional settings because they yield the most stunning results. Collagen plumps up lines and scars, hyperpigmentation is greatly reduced, fine lines and other signs of sun damage disappear. In addition, this peel will fight acne, blackheads and excess oil. It offers great results after even just a few peels, with optimal results occurring after 6-8 treatments.
25 Percent TCA Peel
This is the strongest peel we offer. Guaranteed to take years off your skin, this peel requires one to two weeks of recovery to finish the peeling process completely and is only recommended for advanced peelers.
