8% Tranexamic Acid Peel
NEW FOR 2026!
Introducing our latest peel product, this one specifically designed to help improve the tone of your skin by fading hyperpigmentation, sun damage and age spots with little irritation and no down time.
An 8% (or similar high-percentage) Tranexamic Acid peel is a specialized, often professional-grade, cosmetic treatment designed to target stubborn hyperpigmentation, melasma, and skin dullness. It inhibits melanin production and reduces inflammation, leading to brighter, more even-toned skin.
-
Key Aspects of Tranexamic Acid Peels:
- Targeted Skin Concerns: Highly effective for melasma, sun spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), and overall brightening.
- Mechanism: It works by reducing the interaction between melanocytes and keratinocytes, slowing down melanin production, and curbing vascular inflammation.
- Treatment Types:
Professional: In-office chemical peels or combined with microneedling for deeper penetration for optimal professional grade results.
At-Home/Cosmeceutical: High-purity TXA serums are easy to use treatments for brighter, more even toned skin. - Benefits: Considered safe for various skin types and, unlike some peels, safe for use during summer when combined with proper sun protection.
- Precautions: While generally well-tolerated, it can cause mild skin irritation or dryness. It should be used with caution if you have extremely sensitive skin.
Key Instructions for Tranexamic Acid Peels
Preparation: A gentle cleanser should be used to remove impurities, avoiding the eye area. You can then use your favorite toner, then this will be your next step
Application: Apply the product evenly, focusing on areas with pigmentation or uneven tone, in a thin layer and allow to absorb for 5 minutes. Do not remove! Begin with every other evening use, then move up to nightly if your skin tolerates the peel without irritation. You can then apply your moisturizer over top of the product.
Layering safely: It pairs beautifully with ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C. However, using it alongside other potent acids (like glycolic or salicylic acid) can cause dryness
Post-Peel Care:
Use sunscreen (SPF 30+) daily, which is crucial as the skin is more sensitive and prone to sun damage.we recommend a mineral formula to avoid any irritation from the chemicals in other sunscreens.
Precautionary Advice
Patch Test: Always conduct a patch test, particularly on sensitive skin.
