As someone who just has naturally dry lips, I have spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars trying to find something, anything that actually hydrates my lips, It has been an ongoing struggle, until now! I've been looking at the moisturizing capabilities of Grass Fed Tallow for its application in skincare products and when I came across this formulation I got excited! Now for all over the face, I'm not a big fan of Tallow as it is very occlusive and can cause breakouts on even non-acne prone skin, but for the lips in particular, it has a fantastic profile for exactly what I have been looking for, especially when combined with Olive & Castor oils, Grapeseed and Avocado oils and Beeswax, which result in a rich, penetrating and conditioning lip treatment that we have added our best selling Microdermabrasion crystals to in order to get the dual benefit of a very effective polishing exfoliation treatment along with penetrating hydration and conditioning of the sensitive & delicate lip skin. This formula removes dry flakey skin allowing optimal penetration of the active ingredients, so instead of just sitting on top of the lips and feeling like an oil slick that migrates off the lips getting everywhere, this very thick formula actually improves the moisture level into lips while the scrub element helps to encourage even penetration and a smoothing effect that leaves your lips comfortable and hydrated all day! We also have this as a Lip Balm for daily application. 

This is a 20 gram/.7 ounce pot of lip scrub, which has lasted me for over 2 months so far, only a small amount is needed., is just a powerhouse for the lips! Use once or twice a week. Do not go crazy with this scrub! The Microdermabrasion Crystals are VERY effective at exfoliating and unlike sugar scrubs, they do not dissolve and dissipate, so gently buff it across your lips, making sure to include the corners and your lip line. rinse well, until the crystals have all been removed, and you are good to go! 

Our Grass Fed Tallow is ethically sourced from local farms. I only include animal products when I have carefully evaluated its efficacy and in the case for lip use for this product and our Organic Emu Oil, both are deserving of inclusion and consideration as best in class products. I have tried so many different lip formulations that don't make any difference, have mint and other irritants or  just sit on top of the lips without ever penetrating, just forming a slippery oil slick which I find to be extremely ineffective and unpleasant. 

We do have an alternative lip balm product for those who prefer to use non-animal based skin care, and its also a lovely product (though I give the edge to the Grass fed Tallow product in this item description as a more effective moisturizing product IMO) that will be listed later this month
